Sound files: Most computers have built-in speakers, so you can record in Garage Band or Audacity to record & edit.
Movie files: Use your digital camera or camcorder to record yourself. Upload to youtube.com and I'll link it here.

Go to a place or places that feel like “time travel,” be it a room you’ve decorated, old stacks at the library, or a particular place in the city. Go there in your vintage garb and strike a pose. These portraits speak to notions of desire, masquerade, performance and of synthesizing our time with past history.
